"Research and development of flexible process equipment and application of performance nonwovens with leather core structure and two components and two steps" passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting

          On June 25, 2021, China National Textile Industry Council (CNTAC) organized and held an appraisal meeting on the project "Flexible Process Equipment and Application Research and Development of performance Nonwoven-material with Leather-core Structure and Two-component and Two-step Method" jointly undertaken by Yangzhou Atlan Performance Materials Co., Ltd. and Nantong University. The appraisal committee consists of seven experts, with academician Jiang Shicheng of the Chinese Academy of Engineering as the director and professor Deng Bingyao of Jiangnan University as the deputy director. The appraisal meeting was chaired by Zhang Chuanxiong, deputy director of the science and technology development department of China textile industry federation, and attended by leaders and experts such as Zhang Yiping, director of the science and technology bureau of Gaoyou tech zone, and Gao Qiang, researcher of Nantong University.

          The experts at the meeting listened to the report of the project organizers, reviewed the identification data, watched the on-site video, and inspected the production products. After inquiry and discussion, the main innovation points of the project include: 1. Developed the spinning technology of special raw materials for the leather core structure with two components, and the two-step processing technology of filament splitting into mesh by air flow; 2. 2. Developed the processing equipment and technology of uniform filament splitting, and solved the technical problems of uniform filament splitting of long filament bundles; 3. Developed and manufactured the composite long fiber round mesh hot air bonding roller, developed the flexible long fiber self-adaptive mesh laying technology, realized the mesh formation uniformity and isotropic characteristics of the fiber mesh.The project has applied for 10 invention patents, including 3 authorized invention patents and 2 software Copyrights, with independent intellectual property rights. The project has built a wide-format performance two-component nonwovens production line with independent intellectual property rights, realizing industrialization. The series of strength and thermal stability nonwovens developed by the project are widely used in the fields of geotexics, health care, filtration, decoration, etc. The products have excellent performance and stable quality through user feedback.

           The appraisal expert committee believes that the project has completed the requirements of the mission document and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level. The expert committee unanimously agrees that the project has passed the appraisal and suggests to increase the promotion efforts and further explore the domestic and foreign markets.
